That the Bay Area would be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord through the good news of Jesus
Jesus changes everything.
We were created to live for God but because of sin we have all lived for ourselves, separated from God and unable to please Him. The gospel is the "good news" of Jesus' life, death and resurrection that secures salvation for everyone who believes in Him. What Jesus did on the cross not only restores sinners to God, it also restores us to each other and continues to transform every area of our lives. The gospel is the central focus of everything we do.

MISSION AND STRATEGY
We exist to glorify God
by making disciples of Jesus in community.
Our Ministry Strategy
How we will carry out our mission and accomplish our vision.
Every Sunday we gather as one community to worship and experience our God together. We do this in song, communion and through the proclamation and preaching of the Word of God, which is our authority in all that we do. It is God’s Word that reveals to us the truth about who He is, who we are, and the gospel - His plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. Our Sunday gatherings are designed to engage the mind, stir the affections, encourage participation and move us toward Jesus. We gather to celebrate and share the grace of God in our lives and to be reminded of the eternal hope we have in Christ Jesus.
We gather every Sunday evening @ 5p in Newark @ 38325 Cedar Blvd, Newark.
Missional Families are the primary way we do life together and reach our city with the gospel. Missional Families are smaller groups (8-15) of people who are committed to Jesus and each other, who have oriented their lives to make disciples of Jesus Christ. Through these relationships we are able to encourage and challenge each other to believe our identity in Christ and live in a way that shows the world who Jesus really is. Each missional family is intentional about reaching their unique mission within the city and meets regularly to share meals around the table, learn and apply the story of redemption, enjoy life together, and serve those in need.
Every believer is called to take the posture, thinking, behavior, and practices of a missionary in order to engage culture with the Gospel. We are committed to train and equip the body to live on mission in the context that the Lord has uniquely placed them.
We believe church planting is essential to the mission of making disciples of all nations. No church is intended to be an end in itself. Even though we are a brand new church plant, we want to be praying, planning and preparing for the day the Lord leads us to reproduce and plant gospel-centered churches.
JON & NAOMI FISHER
Jon, Naomi and their 5 children are all East Bay Area natives. Jon gave his life to the Lord in youth group at the age of 14. It was there him and Naomi met. They served in full time ministry together for nearly 10 years, overseeing youth, young adults, arts, media and tech for the church. With a growing family, a calling to full time ministry, and living in one of the most expensive places in the world, Jon felt the need to get creative with ideas to bring in more income. Along with his brother-in-law, he started a coffee roasting company. Within the same year of opening the cafe, the time of serving at the church they had been a part of had come to a close. Although they had a lot of questions, one thing became very clear... ministry was not just a season in their lives, but something they were called to. They spent the next few years getting the business strong, as well as focusing on family and homeschooling their children. All the while, Jon still works a separate full time job as an audio/video tech. Although they are native to the area, they feel the Lord has placed them in the Bay Area as missionaries. They have spent their lives praying and crying out for a move of God there. They feel the Lord is calling them to put action to their prayers… raising up disciples who make the most of every opportunity with where the Lord has uniquely placed them. People who engage the culture of the Bay Area with the good news of Jesus in everyday rhythms of life.
We strive to "contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3)
and to live according to that faith, "a life worthy of the gospel of Christ" (Philippians 1:27).
To that end, we affirm the following creeds & confessions. We have adapted our belief statement from The Gospel Coalition. We believe it provides a clear, simple, and biblical confession of faith. These beliefs are foundational, a summary of what the Bible proclaims about the central matters of our faith. This statement articulates the truths we believe as a church, which we believe are foundational to our vision for the flourishing of the city through the gospel of Christ.
